I am a clinical psychologist with over 11 years experience supporting adults, teens, and kids across a number of government, education, refugee, and disability services. I love working with queer and gender diverse people and those from diverse cultural backgrounds. I aim to create a safe space where you feel genuinely understood.
My approach to therapy is warm, straightforward and genuine. I aim to work with you in partnership towards gaining the peace, confidence and kind of secure relationships you want in your life.
I have a special interest in supporting people who have experienced trauma, including sexual assault, domestic violence, exposure to trauma at work, racial or queerphobic discrimination, microaggressions and war trauma. I have expertise in treating anxiety, panic, depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, attachment-related issues, grief and loss, OCD, work-related stress and other mental health conditions.
My practice blends elements from Schema Therapy, attachment theory, Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Re-processing (EMDR) and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to develop an approach that will meet your unique needs. I'm always happy to answer any questions you may have - there are no silly questions.
My professional qualifications include a Master of Clinical Psychology from the Cairnmillar Institute, a Master of Forensic Psychology from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Science with Honours (Psychology) from the University of Nottingham. I am a Psychology Board of Australia-approved supervisor for provisional and registered psychologists as well as an endorsed Clinical Psychologist and endorsed Forensic Psychologist. I'm a full member of the the Australian Psychological Society as well as the EMDR Association of Australia.
