Rochelle Williams - Clinical & Forensic Psychologist

Please note - I am currently offering online appointments only

I see adults and teens 16+ years

People of all genders, sexualities and cultural backgrounds are welcomed

My approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I aim to create a safe space where you can feel heard and understood as a person. Together, we'll unpack the changes you’re looking for in your sense of self, mental health, or relationships, and I'll offer you emotional support and practical, evidence-based strategies and therapeutic techniques to help you get there, at a pace that feels right for you.

I have a special interest in helping people heal from trauma and insecure attachment, to gain more emotional peace and daily wellbeing, as well as more loving and secure relationships with others and within themselves.

I especially love working with people from different cultural backgrounds and from LGBTQI+ communities.

Although my style as a therapist is gentle and informal, I draw from over 13 years of experience and expertise in both clinical and forensic psychology, two Masters degrees in psychology, and advanced training in schema therapy, EMDR, CBT, and trauma-informed practice, to provide a meaningful and impactful therapy experience that honours each person’s unique personality and goals. I'm also a Psychology Board of Australia-approved supervisor and convene a monthly schema therapy and EMDR focused peer supervision group and offer individual clinical supervision to other psychologists.

Challenges I can support you with include:

  • Anxiety and panic
  • Depression including recurring depression
  • Self esteem and negative self-talk
  • Trauma of all kinds (sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, childhood neglect,  racism, homophobia, transphobia, discrimination, war trauma, trauma encountered at work) except birth trauma
  • Posttraumatic stress, complex trauma, PTSD and C-PTSD
  • People-pleasing
  • Insecure attachment styles
  • Attachment difficulties in dating and relationships
  • Gender and sexuality: navigating coming out, transitioning as a non-binary or trans person, working out your gender identity or sexuality
